In response to easing coronavirus concerns, the Sultanate of Oman has now removed all of its remaining COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as the requirement for mandatory COVID-19 travel medical insurance for visitors traveling to Oman for tourism purposes.

Essentially, this means that visitors are now free to enter Oman without showing proof of COVID-19 vaccination, submitting COVID-19 tests, or completing any sort of quarantine.

The relaxation in restrictions has taken effect as of May 22, 2022.

Previously, visitors to Oman were required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, and show proof of travel insurance covering COVID-19. Earlier restrictions also involved mandatory COVID-19 testing.

This essentially means that travel to Oman now is much the same as it was prior to the pandemic.
